We can make custom parts in your material or in our stock grades of High Carbon, Stainless and Cold Rolled Steel in thicknesses from .005" through .125" depending on availability. Whether your product is in the 'concept stage', prototype, or already in limited production, we are ready to offer you precision, high-quality support and assist you in turning your complex precision CAD drawings into finished steel laser-cut components or decorative items.
PR Hoffman uses a Cincinnati CL-707 dual-bed laser for high-volume High-Precision Laser Cutting.
PR Hoffman Machine Products Inc. is recognized as a leading innovator and manufactuer of 'Insert Carriers' for the semiconductor wafer industry.
Founded in 1938, and manufacturing double-sided lapping and polishing machines and carriers for over 55 years, PR Hoffman became involved in laser-cutting of thin (0.005" - 0.125") high-carbon spring steel nearly 20 years ago for its patented 'Insert Carriers' which have an ring of plastic injection molded into a laser-cut hole. more info: 'Insert Carriers'
PR Hoffman selected the Cincinnati laser because of its higher cutting speeds and superior cut edge quality.
We are able to maintain very high precision cutting of thin steel sheets used for carriers and are supplying precision components to aerospace, industrial, optics, semiconductor, and decorative arts customers.

Important Laser Cutting issues
- The largest laser-cut part size just less than 60" x 120"
{typically 48" x 96" sheet is maximum we cut due to standard sheet metal size available.}
- We currently only laser-cut steel parts from 0.005" through 0.125" {1/8th inch} thick.
- While our laser-cutting services are geared toward high-volume production steel parts, we can supply small quanities of your custom laser cut part for prototype, research & development, and production.
